BL!NDMAN brings an ecstatic musical ritual under a circling shadow
‘Stand up for noise and plead for pollution, cheering the unholy fusion of animal and machine.’ Donna Haraway’s infamous ‘A Cyborg Manifesto’ (1985) is a call to radical revolution and celebrates monstrosity and hybridity, while it goes against the ‘natural order’ with devilish pleasure. Her words form the undertone of 'བྱ་རྒོད། / Vultures', a new work composed by the British-Chinese Jamie Man 文珮玲 commissioned by BL!NDMAN. With vocals, saxophones, electronics, and a military drone speaker (or is it a vulture?), an ecstatic musical ritual is created, inspired by Tibetan sky burials.
