Ona (2+) - Laura Alcala Freudenthal - LaSúbita

BELGIAN PREMIERE We discovered Ona at elPetit Festival in Spain. A small gem, pure and simple. With dance, objects, light, and live music, this intimate, visual, and poetic performance playfully asks the question: "What if we could see all waves (such as light, sound, etc.) around us?" A serious question, but LaSúbita turns it into a fascinating visual adventure. Two dancers and a cellist play with costumes and materials, such as strings and metal wires, to reveal the magic of the waves in interaction with the space and the youngest audience, who experience everything with fascination. Het Spaanse LaSúbita consists of Emma Riba Santuré and Laura Alcala Freudenthal, two dancers who have been working together since 2017. With performances such as POP. A dance monologue (2023) and Foc i Lloc (2025) they have toured many theaters and festivals. Now they can also be seen for the first time at our Krokusfestival.
