WAS

There was wash there is wash there will always be wash but this wash is as fresh as it was. Per week, we do the laundry on average 3 to 5 times in Belgium. Poor moms and dads. Or is it just how you look at it? For children, the laundry, the laundry basket, and the washing machine are full of life! And so it is in WAS, a non-verbal performance full of imagination, about the beauty and the play in the everyday. After the performance, the children can play themselves in the theater playground full of washing machines, laundry baskets, drying racks, and of course the laundry! Dieske Krijnders studied drama therapy and developed a love for movement and improvisation theater. From 2014 to 2022, she played the successful toddler and preschool theater performance Moes with Karel Casier. That performance received the Zilveren Krekel in 2017: ‘ Moes excels by seeing the wonder in the small and everyday…’ With the same subtle sense of style and atmosphere, they have now made WAS , with Karel taking care of the decor and direction. For everyone from 2 to 5 years old.
