Emilie Mover is an enchanting singer-songwriter from New York and Toronto, known for her warm, intimate voice and her unique mix of jazz, folk, and country. She writes songs that whisper and touch – small stories with great emotional power.
Her music, rooted in the tradition of icons like Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Leonard Cohen, found its way worldwide to films and TV series and earned her, among other things, a Canadese Juno-Award. With seven albums to her name, she remains one of the most idiosyncratic voices in the North American music landscape.
Together with the Belgian saxophonist John Snauwaert, she brings a series of honest, compelling songs in which poetry, melody, and improvisation flow together effortlessly. Their ensemble creates an intimate atmosphere in which every note and every word lingers.
