Amor Fati, that is Latin. Then we know for sure that Prime Minister Bart De Wever likes it. Love for fate. Fate brought Jan Jaap 10 years ago to our beautiful country where life is fantastic, but where it also so often goes fantastically wrong. That too is fate and that too Jan Jaap embraces with pleasure. Jan Jaap van der Wal has now been a ‘Flemish person in training’ for 10 years and is an indispensable part of Flemish theaters and television programs. The love is mutual and to celebrate that, he brings his biggest show to date in Flanders. “Because whether we go under due to a possible war, or a budget deficit, or we choke on a shrimp croquette at the sea; we are going under anyway and let's do it with a big smile.” Jan Jaap van der Wal has been a comedian for almost thirty years and has made four full-length shows in Flanders since 2015, including the acclaimed election conference ‘Geen Stem’. On television, he made a splash as a jury member of De Slimste Mens ter Wereld, as a presenter of De Ideale Wereld and Jan Jaap Op Zondag. In ‘Nieuwe Feiten’ on Radio 1, he looks back every Friday with a wink at the political current affairs of our country.
