The late 1990s. A Een Hongaars-Canadian family of six settles in their new home on Vancouver Island. From the perspective of youngest daughter Sasha, events range from comfortable everyday things – beach days and family trips to the park, summer afternoons full of fun with trampolines and garden hoses – to events that take on a dark tint as the scale of one family member's problems becomes clear. Indeed, the behavior of the family's oldest child, Jeremy, is becoming increasingly dangerous.
