film screening 'Eat More Trees'

Sat, 13 Jun 2026 · 17:00
Ferme Neelke, Halle
€18–22
On Saturday, June 13, together with Velt, we are showing the documentary Eat More Trees — an internationally acclaimed and hopeful film about regenerative agriculture, soil restoration, agroforestry, and the search for a food system that works together with nature and community again. For us, this film strongly touches the core of what we are trying to build with Ferme Neelke and our partners: A place where agriculture, biodiversity, local food, meeting, care, and landscape connection come together again. What makes this evening special is that the film is not only shown on a farm, but in a place where many of these principles are made locally tangible. From the reception, we invite visitors for a short walk through the garden along edible trees and plants. Guests can slow down, discover, and experience. Boer Neel briefly tells the story and mission of the farm. Regisseur Arne Focketyn will be present for an introduction and post-film discussion. We welcome everyone with a local welcome drink and small agroforestry snacks. There is room for meeting, exchange, and conversation. We don't want to make this evening just a film screening, but a warm and connecting moment around the question of how we as a society can reconnect more strongly with soil, food, landscape, and community.
