The Cat Paradox (12+) - Ariel Doron (ISR)

Did curiosity kill the cat? Or was it the gaze of the spectator? ‘Mitzi’s Mensch’ is a lecture-performance that uses the magic of puppetry, the theater stage, and a PowerPoint presentation to dive into the fascinating universe of quantum physics. In a humorous way, complex themes and existential questions are addressed that are recognizable to everyone. The performance takes a look at the famous thought experiment ‘Schrödinger’s cat’ and asks questions about our relationship with animals, how we experience time and space, and the human (in)ability to see reality as it truly is. A surprising, funny, and sometimes uncomfortable journey at the intersection of object theater and the human urge to want to understand everything. Ariel Doron is a Berlin-based, engaged theater maker who connects his Israeli identity to a universal struggle for artistic freedom and solidarity for everyone.
