July 11th celebration with Il Sogno and Riet Muylaert

Come and watch this unique and inclusive collaboration between music group ‘Il Sogno’ of De Lovie vzw and RIET (Muylaert, aka JackoBond) in Koekelare on July 11. From emotion to boundless cheerfulness: all emotions are covered! Especially for the July 11 celebration, the cultural council of Koekelare brings singer RIET together with ‘Il Sogno’, the legendary music group of De Lovie vzw from Poperinge. They previously shared the stage with none other than Willem Vermandere, Raymond van het Groenewoud, Klaas Delrue (Yevgueni), Wannes Cappelle, Barbara Dex, Johan Verminnen, and now again with Riet Muylaert, who used to go through life as JackoBond. De Lovie vzw strives for equal opportunities for people with an intellectual disability. In 1996, in that spirit, their own music group was founded. ‘Il Sogno’ is the musical ‘dream’ of eight musicians with and without intellectual disabilities. The group today consists of Amber Moreel, Evelien Callens, Gregory Soetaert, Inez Vanalderweireldt, Mathieu Lemaitre, Miguel Verledens, Rik Rabaey, and Tijs Veramme. Il Sogno brings a varied program of hit-sensitive songs and original compositions. The eight-piece band plays an extensive range of instruments and a wide palette of emotions: from emotion to boundless cheerfulness. Met de West-Flemish singer RIET they already had a collaboration with before, and especially for the concert in Koekelare, they are now joining hands (and scores) again. Among other things, some translations into Dutch of well-known pop songs and other surprises are on the joint musical repertoire. A ticket costs barely 5 euros, including a drink and a snack provided by the boys and girls of De Stip in Koekelare! Come celebrate with this inclusive event.
