Mindful walk to Walcourt from Berzée (6 km.)

Walcourt (Walloon: Walcoû) is a small town in the west of the province of Namur in Belgium. The city has over 18,000 inhabitants. The center is a picturesque medieval fortified town, located at the confluence of the Eau d’Heure and the Yves. https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walcourt We will walk on the city rampart: this walk takes us past medieval fortifications, the giant Saint-Maternus Basilica, remains from the Middle Ages such as watchtowers, alleys and old gates. We meet each other: -either at the NMBS station in Landen with the train of 8.01 a.m. on platform 3 (train to Brussels-South), arrival at Brussels-South station at 8.56 a.m. -or in the ticket hall of the NMBS station Brussels-South at 9 a.m. There we take the train to Charleroi-Central at 9.15 a.m. on platform 26 and arrive there at 10.06 a.m. -or at 10.15 a.m. in the ticket hall of Charleroi-Central. We take the train there in the direction of Couvin at 10.21 a.m. on platform 12 and we get off at Berzée at 10.42 a.m. From there we then leave on foot to Walcourt (6 km.), where we will also have a picnic. Along the way we do mindfulness exercises with a debriefing around the question ‘what does the past mean to me?’
