Enchanting experience for someone who doesn't know words yet
Umi - Japanese for 'sea' - is an interactive dance and music experience for the very youngest: babies and toddlers from six to eighteen months. Dancers and musicians roll, slide, and surround the very young audience with sounds. Accordion, cornet, cello, voice: live, soft, present. The space fills with abstracted waves and colors. And then the real magic begins: the artists respond to each child individually, improvise on every reaction, follow every adventure.
Here the little ones make the art themselves.
A very well-designed and thoughtful game - I wish this kind of experience for every child. - in Theaterkrant
