Please don't laugh

Looking at a banana from all angles and trying not to slip is quite an art. For years, Tristero has been making performances with a comedic undertone. Today they ask themselves: what should we do with that humor? And how is it that in these chaotic times there is so much stand-up comedy to be seen? In Please Don’t Laugh, three comedians try to find their place in a world that is becoming increasingly difficult to understand. In doing so, they lustily collide with the painful limits of what humor can do. And with the question: is silence sometimes stronger than laughter? Against better judgment, Tristero takes up the gauntlet – or rather: the microphone. In all seriousness, they share their findings, equipped with little more than an empty stage, a microphone, and a spotlight. The three actors peel layer by layer from the primal symbol of humor, and what turns out? The funniest piece of fruit has more in it than the eye would suspect.
