Heather Nova Heather Nova made her international breakthrough in 1994 with her album Oyster. The fresh, compelling songs of this record catapulted her to the forefront of indie pop and since then she has steadily built an impressive and acclaimed oeuvre, with numerous albums and tours worldwide. What really earned her a loyal fan base are her live performances. With a voice that sounds both powerful and angelic, she knows how to effortlessly fill large festival stages with her band, but just as easily move audiences in intimate halls, where her music is reduced to the essence. In 2025, her thirteenth album Breath and Air was released, an atmospheric collection of songs full of rich melodies and poetic lyrics, carried by her characteristic, ethereal voice. A year later, a live double album followed, recorded during a sold-out European tour, on which she performs both beloved classics and new work. During this tour, she is on stage in a pure, stripped-down setting: together with cellist Midori Jaeger, she creates an intense and clear sound world in which every detail comes into its own. Voor Heather Nova lies the essence of music there: the direct contact with the audience.
