Bunker Day

In and around the Vloethemveld, there has been a very distinct military presence in both WWI and WWII. Either as a training ground, as a storage place for ammunition, and also after the Tweede Wereldoorlog as accommodation for more than 150,000 mainly German prisoners of war. Our guide will accompany you through this unique 'hidden' area. Kamphuis, Vloethemveld 10a, 8210 Zedelgem. Parking: P2 (Diksmuidse Heirweg 6, Zedelgem) and walk to the Kamphuis via the Bedelfdreef (cobblestone road opposite the parking lot). Or you can cycle to the Kamphuis.
