Expo Photos de Gengoux VERJUS

From June 6 to 28, the Maison du Bailli in Braine-le-Château is hosting a photography exhibition by Gengoux Verjus, open from Wednesday to Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. An amateur photographer and nature enthusiast, Gengoux Verjus has been practicing photography since 2014 with a deliberately simple approach: to observe and show the natural world as it truly appears. The exhibited images are the result of patient fieldwork, without the use of artificial intelligence or excessive artifice. While nature offers a great variety of subjects, birds currently occupy a central place in his work. Their diversity, behaviors, and often discreet presence invite attentive and respectful observation. The exhibition brings together around forty photographs taken in our region, near his home in Tubize: in Tubize itself, in Braine-le-Château, in Ittre, in the Hallerbos, and their surroundings. Places that are sometimes familiar, yet reveal a natural richness that is often overlooked. Through these images, the photographer offers a look at very lively countrysides, inhabited by numerous species. An invitation to better understand this biodiversity close to us, in order to better respect it and contribute to its protection.
