125 years of Steam & Power

125 years of steam in Izegem, that must be celebrated. We are doing that with a celebration year that is being kicked off on the occasion of Open Monumentendag. Op Open Monumentendag we are kicking off a celebration year in Izegem around 125 Jaar Stoom & Steam. On the day itself, there is already all sorts of things on the program: a division of pleasantly crazy steampunks will come by, there are lectures and thematic walks, you can join a festive banquet, we are installing a pop-up bar, there is entertainment provided, and even the fairground fireworks are themed around steam and electricity this year.
