Bruno Vanden Broecke and Raven Ruëll - Confession

Lasse Vonck was once proclaimed a child prodigy by the press and public as a young artist. Thirty years later, little of that remains. That he is slowly being forgotten, he can still accept. But in the meantime, he has also lost himself. On a colorless spring day, he wakes up with a disturbing feeling of alienation. He no longer knows exactly who he is. Even speaking is no longer possible for him. Confession is inspired by the timeless story The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. The performance sketches an incisive portrait of a person who silently resists a world in which he no longer recognizes himself. Raven Ruëll wrote this new theater text especially for Bruno Vanden Broecke. The two creators have been working together for twenty-five years and previously created performances such as Missie, Para, and Klink.
