Cardboard Cabin (Baleynbal): CD presentation with dance

Cardboard Cabin is coming to present their new record and they do that in their well-known way: with a smashing ball! This energetic band serves danceable folk music with a twist of their own, in which influences of jazz and pop merge effortlessly. Expect a mix of intimate moments and rousing power folk. They bring a repertoire full of original compositions, inspired by classical ballroom dances, but with enough room for surprises and experiment. With accordion, double bass, percussion and saxes they build up layer by layer and drag both seasoned dancers and curious listeners along. Cardboard Cabin is known for their playful interaction with the audience, surprising rhythms and unexpected turns that keep every dance exciting. After their first record they played Flanders and the Netherlands flat and in 2023 they were nominated for the Flanders Folk Awards in the category ‘Beloftevolle Band’.
