'Bistrot Brassens' brings classics and unknown gems from the repertoire of Georges Brassens, the father of the French chanson. A relaxing and cozy evening. The musicians tell stories about the songs and life of tonton Georges, the music puts you in a good mood. Brassens sings about love, friendship, hypocrisy, society, and the spicy things in life. And occasionally you will hear a chanson in sweet-sounding Antwerp dialect. Bistrot Brassens - that is: Jo Vermeulen (guitar & vocals) and Kris Van Daele (double bass).
