CUCKOO'S NEST

Reintje plays Cuckoo's Nest (the original text of One flew over the cuckoo's nest by Dale Wasserman has been adapted for this performance by the actresses of Reintje) Direction : Kathleen Bollue Roxy De Wilde tries to escape a strict prison regime by having herself admitted to a psychiatric hospital. There she immediately clashes with the strict and authoritarian head nurse Monique De Cock, who tries to keep the patients completely under control. Roxy encourages the other patients to stand up for themselves and ignore the rules. The struggle between Roxy and nurse De Cock escalates to such an extent that all other patients see only one way out: Roxy must flee! Cuckoo's Nest is about freedom, power, and the courage to be yourself.
