SCHOONBEEST takes place in a densely overgrown world in which all people, animals and things pretend they know what they are doing. A hunter peers through his double-barreled gun, ready to shoot. The beast looks back, not planning to flee. Who is prey? With a nod to nature documentaries, theater makers Brenda Corijn and Zita Windey perform a procession of absurd creatures that spy on, threaten, seduce and finish each other off. Along the way, they tackle major themes, such as the fear of the unknown and the role of humans in nature. SCHOONBEEST is a visual performance that makes children and adults look differently at everything that lives and does not (anymore) live. The general public got to know Brenda Corijn as the singer of the band Ão. She previously played at fABULEUS in the children's performance Connie & Zorba (2021) and last season she could be seen in Alleman (Het Kwartier) and (v) (De Nwe Tijd).
