Parkies, the BIGGEST smallest festival in Flanders, has been settling in Maldegem for several summers! The Sint-Annapark and the grounds behind Den Hoogen Pad become the stage for various summer performances during the summer months. Also this year, you can enjoy free live performances with top artists on Maldegem soil on Friday evenings during the summer months. From Friday, July 3 , the Parkiesconcerten will settle in for seven Friday evenings full of ambiance. The tour through the municipality starts with four editions (July 3, 10, 17, and 24) in the familiar Sint-Annapark, after which the party moves to the atmospheric surroundings of Den Hoogen Pad on July 31, August 14, and 21. The doors of the Parkiesdorp open at 7:00 PM each time. From 8:00 PM you can enjoy a nice opening act followed by the main act of the evening. There are food trucks present, side entertainment for the youngest among us, and the bar is of course also open. Snacks and an extensive menu In addition to the strong live performances, the inner person is also pampered. Visitors can choose from an extensive range of drinks and enjoy a tasty snack on the spot. That combination of quality in the glass and the conviviality at the various locations completes the weekly appointment. The biggest smallest festival With 300,000 visitors last year, the Parkies prove their status as ‘the biggest smallest festival in Flanders’.
