Carousel Ensemble - Beethoven & Beyond

Het Carousel Ensemble unites seven exceptional musicians from different European countries around the acclaimed Belgian clarinetist Annelien Van Wauwe. As soloists and chamber musicians, they are on international stages, but in Carousel they find each other in a shared passion for playing together. The flexible line-up always ensures new sound colors and a surprising repertoire. For this program, the ensemble chooses the rarely heard, sparkling genre of the septet in which seven instruments together create a rich, almost orchestral sound, without losing the intimacy of chamber music. With works by Michael Haydn, Adolphe Blanc, and Ludwig van Beethoven, Carousel brings a program full of elegance, melodic charm, and virtuoso playing together.
