"Memories of the Waters" stops in Verviers from June 17 to 21, 2026
From June 17 to 21, 2026, Ville de Verviers will host the traveling art installation "Memories of the Waters" at Saint-Remacle Church.
This project, conceived by Barbara Raes / Beyond the Spoken and produced by TDL, is part of a memorial journey linked to the floods of July 2021.
Conceived as a ritual installation, the work invites citizens to a time of reflection and sharing.
Visitors are invited to leave a tear, real or symbolic, accompanied by a memory, an emotion, or a tribute.
This Verviers stop is part of a journey through several territories affected by the floods.
It is part of the City's desire to support cultural initiatives linked to the work of memory and collective resilience.
The installation is accessible to the public at Saint-Remacle Church throughout the week of June 17 to 21, 2026.
This event is supported by: La Loterie Nationale, Ethias, Province de Liège, La Ville de Liège, and the Walloon Region.
