“not the universe but the hands” - Caro Van Thuyne
In the area, two friends search for what they desire from each other and from the stage. While they drift further and further apart, they long for a place to get closer again. An empty place in the tall grass. A landscape, to stay for a while.
A performance about distance and proximity, about black holes, oversized hands, rippling friendship, festive loneliness, and the transience of encounters.
This master's thesis was created within the Drama program at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen and was supervised by Fien Leysen. The performance has been made accessible for people with a visual impairment.
