Frank van Wijk (°1964) studied at the conservatory of Amsterdam. He graduated there in the main subjects organ (with resp. Piet Kee, Jacques van Oortmerssen, and Hans van Nieuwkoop), harpsichord (with Bob van Asperen and Kees Rosenhart), and church music (to with Klaas Bolt). He is active as a teacher (organ, harpsichord, and clavichord), church musician (organist Ruïnekerk Bergen NH and manager Müllerorgel Kapelkerk Alkmaar), and performing musician with an extensive concert practice. Furthermore, he is actively involved in the activities around the world-famous monumental organs of the Grote St. Laurenskerk in Alkmaar and forms together with city organist Pieter van Dijk the artistic direction of Orgel Festival Holland. He made various recordings on CD and DVD and publishes regularly, in particular about the Alkmaar organ history. Together with Jan ten Bokum, he provided a 32-part edition of the collected works of the Dutch composer, organist, and Bachpionier Johannes Gijsbertus Bastiaans (1812-1875) at publisher Donemus in 2012. In 2018, he published together with Pieter van Dijk a first complete edition of the Camphuysen Handschrift, which contains 17th-century Dutch keyboard music. Since 2016, he has been an organist/tour guide for the Stichting Internationale Orgelreizen. With works by J.S. Bach
