Hella - Meeremin

Four female voices that merge into warm, clear, and colorful harmonies. Hella is a young a cappella quartet from Ghent. With their debut album Meeremin, they bring out the power and vulnerability of the female voice. They worked with ancient melodies and texts by, among others, Hadewijch and Wannes Van de Velde and give them a contemporary interpretation. Hella's music bridges the past and present, between traditional and original compositions, arrangements, and lyrics in Dutch. In January 2024, Hella was awarded the Flanders Folk Award for most promising band, in recognition of their unique sound and potential.
