'Christmas by the hearth'

Het Cantic@Mare Ensemble cordially invites you to her annual Christmas concert. “Christmas by the hearth” is an intimate and warm concert. Traditional and slightly less well-known Christmas carols take you back in time, when family and friends still happily gathered together around the hearth fire. This nostalgic picture is wonderfully complemented by the enchanting sounds of string quintet Gustav (led by Siewald Degraeve) and the heavenly trumpets of Alexander Ballegeer and Axl De Groote. Sopranen Sefien Vercouteren and Katrien Verbouw are guaranteed to bring you into higher spheres. As always, the whole is under the expert direction of conductor Patrick Moeyaert, with the trusted accompaniment of pianist Marc Stepman.
