BIERBEEK BLUES

The 6th edition of Bierbeek Blues has only prize winners on the bill. Ruben Bertrands and the Nightcaps (B) provide ambiance from the start. Op de Belgian Blues Challenge 2025 they were awarded third place by the jury and second place by the audience. Blues, boogie, and funk of the highest order. Moreover, two of the four musicians live in Bierbeek. Afterwards, it is the turn of Guy Verlinde & Artisans of Solace (B). Guy Verlinde has been playing on Belgian and foreign blues stages for 20 years. Last year he won the prize for best band at the Belgian Blues Awards. With top musicians like guitarist Stef Paglia (Bierbeek Blues and Bistro Blues 2024) and Tom Eylenbosch (piano, banjo, winner Belgian Blues Challenge 2025), that is not surprising. For the occasion, he brings special guest Olivier Vander Bauwede (Bierbeek Blues 2025). With his Best of Anniversary Show, Guy takes us on a musical journey full of blues, roots, and Americana.
