World Refugee Day 2026 – "In Another Life"

Titled "In Another Life", this event offers reflection on the journeys of refugee people. Behind each story, there are skills, talents, experiences and aspirations that deserve to be recognized. At the heart of the project: an exhibition of photographic portraits highlighting the journeys of certain people welcomed, emphasizing the contrast between their life and experience in their country of origin and their current reality in Belgium. Through these stories, the exhibition invites a different perspective on exile and the people who experience it. Throughout the afternoon, the public will also be able to discover: - expert interventions on issues related to the recognition of qualifications and socio-professional integration - artistic performances, - awareness-raising stands run by organizations active in the field of migration, who will come to share their expertise and shed light on the realities experienced by refugee people This event aims to open dialogue, to deconstruct certain prejudices and to promote better understanding of migration journeys, while highlighting the potential and resources of welcomed people.
