A walk to the bakery becomes a journey along back roads, forgotten paths, and unexpected encounters. Do you slavishly follow the fastest route a screen presents to you, or do you let yourself be guided by a distant melody from a street musician, the wind that blows you away, or the smell of freshly baked bread? With live accordion and guitar music and a changing landscape, Piloot investigates our urge for efficiency — and how we lose our connection to the world if we always follow it. ‘Piloot plays pilot’ invites you to rediscover your own compass. Do you dare to mute the anonymous female voice and take a leap between the devil and the deep blue sea?
