Blues goddess, soul sensation, post-punk princess or pop queen: they determined the sound, the style and the direction. All women who held their own more than well in a music world often ruled by men. Even more: they gave it definitive shape, and pushed that music in directions that we still walk today. ‘That’s What She Sang’ is a musical ode to those iconic women.
