In the spring of 2025, his fifth CD “En/Of” was released and received 4 stars from DE STANDAARD and a nice review titled “Augustijn closes his eyes and opens his heart”. By the way, his previous album achieved the maximum of 4 stars in HUMO! Now that father Willem has stopped singing, son AUGUSTIJN continues to sing with ‘full gusto’ in West Flemish (most popular regional dialect at the moment?!). In 2025, Augustijn also shone on the stages of, among others, the Dranouter Festival, Kleinkunstfestival Olen, various July 11 celebrations, Zilleghem Folk, various churches, etc. AUGUSTIJN’s songs float between pop and cabaret, narrative pearls taken from life, full of (self-)relativization; his concerts are disarming and touch every audience. Augustijn once received wise advice from his father when he asked if he should give the audience what they wanted, or if he should do his own thing: “It is not OR, it is AND!” Black and white or color? Repeating yourself or renewing? Subdued or exuberant? Playful or personal? Funny or serious? Giving or taking? Exactly: it is not OR, it is AND in this new performance!
