Brutalism in St.Lambrechts-Woluwe

In the context of our cycle on brutalism, we discover the site of the Mémé (Maison Medicale) in Woluwe together with guide Paul Grard. We start with the Alma metro station. This site was built between 1972-82 by the Belgian architect Lucien Kroll commissioned by the UCL. This is a combination of brutalism and organic architecture influenced by Gaudi. Lucien Kroll worked mainly abroad and is characterized by his participatory architecture. Meeting at 2 PM at the Alma metro station (outside by the elevator) in St-Lambrechts-Woluwe.
