Max Richter, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky on the program, Elisabeth Brauss behind the keys: that's four stars at one concert
For thirteen years, the wealthy businesswoman and patron Nadezhda von Meck cherished a boundless admiration for Tchaikovsky. They exchanged more than 1200 letters, but decided never to meet. Oh, romance! Ook Beethoven was mainly admired from a distance in our regions. Tot de Gentse composer Charles-Louis Hanssens achieved his goal in 1849 after years of striving: Beethoven's 'Ninth' finally premiered in Belgium. And (film) composer Max Richter enters into creative dialogue with the grandmaster in his 'Opus 2020' out of awe for Beethoven. Wie Elisabeth Brauss already saw behind the keyboard in our house, knows that you shouldn't miss this evening.
