Exploring the dunes, impact of invasive plants on wild bees.

Opposite tourist Ostend, on the other side of the harbor channel, lies a hidden treasure. Despite having striking structures such as the lighthouse Lange Nelle, the Fort Napoleon, the fish market, and the eastern jetty, the interesting dune areas nearby were largely unknown. During this guided tour, we will go exploring on the East Bank, in search of wild bees and other insects typical of our coastal dunes. We will also reflect on the impact that invasive plants have on this valuable nature and learn to recognize them.
