Discover everything about the sun, on Sunday, July 5, 26 in Bornem!

An activity for young and old! Come to the parking lot of the Kardinaal Cardijnplein in the center of Bornem, located right next to the main church. A number of solar telescopes will be set up there, with which you can safely observe the activity on our sun. Be surprised by the fine structure of the sunspots and the impressive flames (prominences) that rise above the solar surface! Some amateur astronomers will also explain exactly how our sun works. This way, you will learn more about all those twinkling stars in the sky, which are nothing more than more distant suns in our universe! There will also be a stand where a number of star charts and a solar poster will be for sale, and where you can also find interesting info and magazines about fascinating topics in astronomy, space travel, and our local operations in Klein-Brabant. The solar observations will take place from 13:00 to 17:00. Reservation is not necessary. An unmissable activity for the whole family!
