17-year-old Sam on a three-day backpacking trip in the Catskills with her father Chris and his oldest friend Matt. The two men quickly get used to a brotherly dynamic and express their long-cherished grievances for Sam, a captivated audience on the walk. Wiser than her age, Sam tries to mediate the warring egos of the two men, but her frustration reaches a peak when boundaries are crossed and her trust is betrayed.
