€9–12
A child and her mother live together in a colorful living room with
a sofa and a TV. They do everything together: flower arranging, cleaning up,
singing songs, the laundry. Day in, day out, because the mother says so. ‘Keep
to the rules, especially when you don't understand them’.
The curious child tries very hard to listen well to what is asked of her.
But she doesn't understand it. And she loses herself more and more often in
her imagination. Until one day she decides to go on an investigation herself.
But how do you deal with a world that suddenly feels strange?
“Met Vreemd Ding I don't want to focus on how we differ from each other, but precisely on
what we share. When I moved to a strange country as a child, I thought I had to be a
chameleon and always had to adapt. What I want to show children
is that you can only really make contact if you - also with others - dare to be yourself.” -
Evgenia Brendes

“Extraordinarily well played.”
“Particularly moving.”
“That something that is strange can be very fun.”
“This performance is understandable to no one and therefore to everyone.” -
