Beyond

BEYOND is a dynamic, rousing, and at the same time poetic circus and dance performance that probes, challenges, and finally bridges our limits. Choreograaf Piet Van Dycke works with six professional artists, each specialized in a different discipline: ladder walking, acro-dance, acrobike, partner acrobatics, and (pole) dance. On stage, they transform into boundless bridge builders. With ladders, varying in size and height, the performers build impressive structures, such as arch sculptures and rotating cranes. They balance the ladders into an exciting, wobbly playing field. They explore unknown heights, climb, float, and venture into a daring choreography. Every centimeter and every second matters as they seek the extremes and discover how far they can push each other. Physical dependency has never been so exciting.
