Lying concert 'Whispers of the Orient'

Let yourself be carried away on a gentle stream of Eastern sounds. Yes, this time only and exclusively Eastern instruments and scales. In this subtly whispering soundscape, warm tone colors, traditional instruments, and calm rhythms meet in a bed of deep relaxation. Indian and Nepalese singing bowls, Chinese harp, Eastern flutes, traditional Indian instruments,… ensure a serene and typically Eastern atmosphere. Every vibration invites you to let go of what you no longer need to carry. Dream away for a while in a totally different world. A world where mindfulness and slowing down are part of the culture. Please provide your own lying mat, blanket, and possibly a pillow for the head. This way you can fully enjoy this lying concert in all comfort. Biografie Andy Vanbeveren is passionate about music and its effects on humans. What once started with singing bowls and gongs has meanwhile grown into a collection of more than 350 instruments. Native American Flute, didgeridoo, handpan, tongue drum, all kinds of percussion and drums, numerous string instruments, piano, and many other world instruments belong to his unique collection. He completed various training courses at home and abroad and was able to learn from many great 'masters' in their field such as Hans de Back (singing bowls), Shree Krishna Shahi and Santa Ratna Shakya (singing bowls), Don Conreaux (gongs), Michael Telepary (Native American Flute), Nestor Kornblum (overtone singing),... Since 2010, he has had more than 1000 concerts to his credit. Not only throughout Flanders, but also in the Netherlands. He played, among others, at Tomorrowland, the Japanese garden in Hasselt, Casino van Blankenberge, numerous cultural centers, churches, etc. He is known for his continuous innovations in sound combinations. A passion that he also knows how to interpret via live looping in the meantime. In the past, he played together with other musicians such as Tylaine Van den Broeck (piano), Gilbert Isbin (lute), John Snauwaert (sax), Michael Telapary (American Native Flute), Nicolas Mortelmans (sitar), Hari Paudjal (bansuri flute), Hélène Philippart (bansuri flute and transverse flute), Manish Pingle (slide guitar), Catherine Maes (mezzo-soprano), Bart Gits (taiko), Kees Kort (shakuhachi), Aki Vergels-Sato (koto), Cantavita (overtone singing), etc. In addition, he has already accompanied numerous yoga sessions, meditation, teambuildings, festivals, Ecstatic Dance, etc.
