The last Viking - Cinema M on tour

In ‘The Last Viking’ we get to know the brothers Anker and Manfred. When Wanneer Anker has to go to prison after a robbery, he entrusts Manfred to hide the money at their parental home and wait for him until he is free again. When Wanneer Anker is allowed to leave prison after all those years, he returns to Manfred in the hope of recovering his money. Only Anker has a big problem: his brother suffers from a personality disorder and now imagines himself to be John Lennon. Together they head to the house where they grew up, and where many bizarre encounters await them. We know Anders Thomas Jensen from, among others, ‘Adam’s Apples’ and ‘Riders of Justice’. He is also successful as a screenwriter. When he calls his friends Mads Mikkelsen and Nikolaj Lie Kaas for a film, they are immediately ready. They then decide together what the core of the story is and how they can strengthen it. In the case of ‘The Last Viking’, that core is identity. Or rather: identities. Mikkelsen's character Manfred suffers from a dissociative identity disorder. A character who carries a heavy backpack, but who also contains a lot of humor.
