Robert and Chantal are a happily married couple. The passion may no longer be the same as at their first meeting, there is more than enough affection to keep their relationship in balance. Only a large hole in the road surface, right in front of their front door, leads to chronic resentment and especially to dirty, damp nuisance.
However, when Leon, Chantal's ex-husband and also her great love, suddenly appears out of nowhere after twenty-five years, the balance is quickly lost. Excuses, intrigues, misunderstandings, and lies cause hilarious situations while more is brewing under the surface than one might suspect and the sinkhole gets bigger and bigger.
‘The Sinkhole’ is a warm, deeply human comedy in which laughter and tears are each other's absolute allies.
