Schrijfster Annie Ernaux returns to Rouen for a book signing session. For her second feature film, Judith Godrèche adapts the autobiographical novel of the same name by Nobelprijswinnaar Annie Ernaux. Mémoire de fille looks back with today's gaze at desire, shame, and power relations, at a time when this was hardly ever spoken about. The film had its world premiere in Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival.
