Piedestal is an enchanting and inclusive performance at the intersection of theater and circus. Seven Pulcinellas go in search of something greater. No one knows where that something greater could be. Some claim it is in the ground, hanging in the air, slumbering in the throat. Until it turns out that the great something might be intangible. A singing void, an unfinished laugh, a dancing shadow... The something only reveals itself when you are no longer looking for it. Het Scheldeoffensief tells a story about the fragility of humans. Humans who balance and yet dare to go up into the heights to distance themselves from the earthly murmurs.
