For the first time, Pepijn Ronaldo is on stage alone. In SOLO, he goes in search of his own voice, between dreams, expectations, and the question: who do I want to be on stage myself? Pepijn comes from a family of real circus makers. From a young age, he was on stage with Circus Ronaldo. You saw him earlier in Applaus, Da Capo, and Sono io?, a performance he made together with his father Danny Ronaldo. For that role, he received the prize for Beste Acteur in 2022. Until now, Pepijn sought his way together with the people around him. But now a new moment is breaking, time to do it alone. SOLO is about that exciting moment in your life, the moment you look forward to first and look back on differently later. But what makes such a moment truly important? Does everything have to be grand and spectacular? Or is it just about what you feel inside: doubt, fear, pleasure, desire? In an intimate performance, Pepijn enters into a dialogue with the audience.
