Classical in the Church | Orfeo String Quartet - Modern Classics

Het Orfeo String Quartet takes you on a journey through the sound world of the 20th and 21st centuries. We open, of course, with Arvo Pärts and his work 'Summa'. 'The Three Pieces in Old Style' by Gorecki and the world-famous 'Adagio for strings' by Samuel Barber cannot be missing. There are also discoveries with work by Melartin and Van Eechaute. The concert closes energetically and temperamentally with work by Florence Price and Astor Piazzolla.
