Film screening \"Mama, when can I go home\"

With the film “Mama, wanneer mag ik naar huis toe” by Jesse van Venrooij and Eline van der Kaa, we want to make the voices of parents in foster care extra visible. This poignant Dutch film brings personal stories of moms about the placement of their children in foster care and what that does to them. They are stories of hope and resilience, about cooperation between parents and foster parents, and about shared parenting. An honest film that also shows the other side of the story. Prior to the screening, there will be a pre-discussion and post-discussion. This will provide some substantive framing for the film and answer questions about the broader functioning of foster care.
