In search of traces of the Zwin

A flood in 1134 was the basis for the creation of the Zwin. Very quickly, this proved to be an important lifeline for the prosperity of Bruges in the Middle Ages. However, the rapid silting up caused that artery to clog. In the area around Damme, we search by bike for remnants of this Zwin and tell the stories associated with it.
