SUMMER TOURS 2026 - Sentier 54 open again. Finally!

SENTIER 54 OPEN AGAIN. FINALLY! - Westouter - 7.5 km After 30 years, we can finally try it out. The official (re)opening only dates back to June 13 last. Piet Hardeman, who committed himself strongly to the slow roads in the wider region, conceived the idea in the late 90s to get this field road open again. Thanks to his efforts and with much support from the Regionaal Landschap Westhoek, the connection is open again. We walk along the route and return via a small loop. Bedankt Piet! SUMMER TOURS 2026 General Summer Tours is an organization of Natuurpunt De Bron and partners. In this 17th edition, there are 25 walks; on every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening in July and August.
